Tasty as well as beneficial

My cat is really fussy about food. Won't even eat treats. So, when the vet recommended this food for his slight buildup of tartar, I wasn't sure how that would go. Much to my surprise, my cat didn't hesitate in eating this food. Won't know how he is doing on the oral care part until I return to vet (that's why only 4 stars), but knowing he likes the food will keep me buying it.

Delicious Dry Food

This food helps keep the cats' teeth clean, and they love the taste of it. They've been on it for over a year, happily. The pellets are very large for cat food, which is probably why it cleans their teeth. It looks more like dog food, it's so big. However, if you put some on a paper towel, you can see it's greasy, but maybe most foods are.

Our senior cat, at least 16 years old, loves this food and I'm sure it has helped him to keep his teeth healthy as he has yet to need a cleaning. He has become more fussy in his golden years and where he used to prefer canned food, he now almost exclusively wants to eat Science Diet oral care (with occasional treats of course!).

I don't know what it is, but our ~12 year old kitty LOVES this stuff. We started to transition her slowly and she stopped eating her old kibbles and begs for these. And I think they're helping her teeth. The vet she saw 6 months ago commented that she had plaque, which is why we bought this. The vet she saw last week said her teeth look pretty good! It was a different vet, so they may have different standards, but maybe these kibbles really helped! My skepticism comes from the fact that the silly cat doesn't like to chew them very much, so I'm not sure the kibbles are getting much of a chance to do their job. But she loves them, so we might as well stick to them

I mix in a few nuggets of the Hill's Science Diet Oral Care into their regular weight control dry food throuhgout the day. The cat that needs it the most to help with her dental issues eats it readily. The male is a little more picky. They both will eat the Oral Care in lieu of oral care "treats" I have tried before.

Treat it as a snack

I do not understand the negative reviews about the kibbles being bigger than regular sized kibbles. They are made this way for the cats to chew on it so they don't devour it. But anyways on to my review. I don't personally like the ingredients in Hills but my cat needs something to help aiding his bad teeth along side with brushing. I use this as a treat instead of regular food. This way I do not feel guilty when giving it to him and plus it's much cheaper than Greenies. So far he is loving the "treat"

Most affordable dental diet

For years I'd been getting the dental treats for my cats, in addition to the usual brushing their teeth every night. I hadn't realized that this oral care dry food was the same exact thing as the dental treats, and works the same way. Since it's sold in a larger quantity, it's cheaper than any of the other options. I mix these in with their regular dry food, so that they get a few pieces with each serving.

The vet recommended science diet oral care for patches because his gums were red on the gum line and back tooth seemed a little brown on the top if I remember correctly The store's only sell the very large,large bags did buy it because we needed it that one bag lasted a year I kept it closed up But always felt it could go steal the could go steel because of the length of time I had then I discovered chewy and they have a smaller bag I bought it I like this option much better. My cat likes chewing on these I gave him a hand full every couple of days patches has his 1 yr check up in September I xant wait to hear what she has to say about his teeth and gums

Not as tasty as Canin

I was offered this product when our usual oral care dry cat food was out of stock. So far my cat is refusing to try. He will usually try a new food if I leave it in his bowl a bit longer or overnight or mix it with something he likes, but that hasn't worked with this food so far. It is probably good at oral care, but I won't know if he won't eat it. I'm hoping our old favorite is back is stock again soon.

Don't waste your money! This kibble is HUGE. It is bigger than dog kibble! Why would they make such large kibble for an animal with such a tiny mouth?! I'm SO upset. My cats cannot eat this as it won't fit in their mouths. I've never been so dissatisfied with a kibble in my life, and we run a small cat rescue. Absolutely horrible. Kibble it is compared to is Blue Buffalo Weightloss kibble. BUYER BEWARE!
